FA Cup third round: Leicester City 4-1 Watford

FA Cup holders Leicester City have secured their spot in the 4th round as they thrashed Watford 4-1 at King Power Stadium.

The hosts went ahead early in the 7th minute when Marc Albrighton won a penalty, and Youri Tielemans converted from the penalty spot. The Foxes then doubled the lead in the 25th minute, through James Maddison who lifted the ball over the visiting keeper with ease.

However that two goal advantage was quickly dashed when Joao Pedro kept his composure to replicate Maddison's strike with a similar finish into the far corner. Leicester made it 3-1, nine minutes into second half as Harvey Barnes broke free before putting his name on the score-sheet. The off-side flag originally went up but a VAR intervention saw the goal given.

And with 5 minutes remaining, Brendan Rodgers’ side rounded off the win in style with Albrighton rattling in a 4th on the rebound. The draw for the 4th round will be made on Sunday.
