Israel's Golan settlement announcement could spark a war

Israel is planning to build new settler units in the occupied Golan Heights in a move that will double the number of Israelis there.

This comes despite the fact that the move is deemed illegal by the international community.

Damascus is furious over the decision, as the occupied territory is internationally recognized as belonging to Syria.
