Across the Pond

Less than a year into Joe Biden's presidency, his overall approval rating gently declined to the comparatively low level of 41%.

That’s mainly due to his mishandling of the economy and the Covid-19 pandemic. Biden’s jobs and jabs plan was supposed to "Build Back Better.” But many fear it’s set to "Bring Back Worse" - namely Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, across the pond, the British Prime Minister is up to his own neck in crises and scandal - again. The news has been dominated by reports Boris Johnson and his team held social gatherings in Downing Street in 2020 while the rest of the country was under coronavirus restrictions and such gatherings were illegal  because of the government’s own rules! Let’s move on to another fading force Time Magazine.

It’s decision to make Tesla billionaire Elon Musk its person of the year for 2021 has been criticized because of his attitude to tax, opposition to unions and playing down the dangers of Covid. The main thing people now know ABOUT Time magazine is its annual "Person of the Year" announcement. Strangely, Time described Musk as a “clown, genius, edge lord, visionary, industrialist, showman”?! But hold on, that description of Elon Musk sounds like they’re describing Donald Trump!
