Summit for Hypocrisy
This week we uncover the most important summit on earth: and it turns out to be invitation only. This most important summit ever held is not about the covid-19 pandemic. And its not about climate change; or even about nuclear talks. Its about democracy. And the host nation, never knowingly undersold in its own self-congratulatory status as the champion of freedom is the United States of America. The United States hosted its Summit for Democracy, dedicated to fighting corruption and promoting democracy, even though its not even in the top 20 democracies in the world according to the Economist Intelligence Unit which downgraded the United States to the category of flawed democracy even before the Donald Trump became President and Biden fell asleep.
