The spokesman for the Yemeni army Yahya Saree says the country's military and allied fighters from popular committees have carried out another retaliatory attack against several targets in Saudi Arabia.

He said the Yemen military struck aircraft hangars at the King Khaled airbase in Asir region and other sensitive targets in Jizan with five ballistic missiles.

Saree said the attack came in response to the escalation of airstrikes by Saudi Arabia against Yemeni civilians. He vowed larger attacks unless Riyadh stops its ongoing war and siege.

Saudi Arabia has been intensifying its airstrikes across Yemen and killing more civilians including children. This has pushed the Yemeni army to launch further operations deep inside the kingdom.

Yemenis believe that their army has the right to hit back at those killing Yemeni women and children and violating the sovereignty of their country.

They say Riyadh should realize that the more attacks it conducts against Yemeni civilians, the more painful retaliatory strikes will be carried out against Saudi facilities.
