Iran-Lebanon ties
Iran is prepared to help Lebanon overcome its economic crisis. That announcement was made by Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian visiting the Arab country. Iran has offered to build two power plants and reconstruct the Beirut port that was badly damaged in a huge explosion last year. Lebanon is suffering from an economic collapse that has plunged three quarters of the population into poverty.
