The hosts took a surprising 1-nil lead in the 24th minute, when Riccardo Sottil smashed in from close range.
But the defending champions regrouped after the break, and leveled the score through Matteo Darmian in the 52nd minute.
Only three minutes later, newly joined striker Edin Dzeko put Inter in the lead with a precise header from a corner kick.
The Nerazzurri put the match to bed in the 87th minute, after Ivan Perisic tapped the ball home following a counter-attack.
With the win, Simone Inzaghi’s side go to the top of the league with 13 points from 5 matches.
