Messi holds final press conference for FC Barcelona

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has bid an emotional farewell to the Spanish club after 21 years as he broke down in tears during his last press conference.

The 6-time Ballon d'Or winner gave the press conference after the Catalan Giants announced that they could no longer afford paying their Argentine talisman's high wages without jeopardizing the club’s future.

During the conference, Messi did not say what his immediate plan was, but added that joining French club Paris Saint-Germain is an option.

Messi is Barcelona's record scorer and top appearance-maker with 672 goals in 788 matches in all competitions.

He has won 10 La Liga titles, 4 Champions Leagues and 7 Copa del Reys with the Catalans.
