Huge police deployment as Indian farmers stage fresh protest
Thousands of police are deployed in New Delhi ahead of a fresh protest by farmers fighting government agriculture reforms since last year.
Uniformed police man barricades and roadblocks around the protest site in the heart of the capital city where 200 farmers have been allowed to assemble.
The farmers, who arrived in buses, vowed to take part in the sit-in demonstration every day to coincide with parliament's current session which ends on August 13.
