Operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have helped organize, coordinate and orchestrate the January 6 attack on the Capitol, says Fox News, accusing the US government of hiding the identity of many of the law enforcement officers, who were involved in the deadly attack.

Citing the government’s court filing, Fox News host Tucker Carlson, said Wednesday that “almost certainly…the FBI operatives were organizing the attack at the Capitol on January 6.”

He said that “the government is hiding the identity of many of the law enforcement officers who were present,” at the violent attack, carried out by supporters of former president Donald Trump.

His supporters stormed the Capitol in the hope of preventing lawmakers from certifying Joe Biden's victory, thus overturning the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

Trump has been blamed for inciting his supporters, including members of far-right Proud Boys, to storm the building and was impeached as a result. The incident left five people dead, including a police officer, and sent lawmakers fleeing for their lives.

The Fox host based his segment on a report by Revolver.News, an alternative news outlet popular among Trump supporters.

Carlson cited the example of a mystery individuals identified in court filings only as “Person Two,” and "Person Three."

According to those documents, person two “stormed the barricades” at the Capitol on January 6.

He said that the “Person Two” and "Person Three" were organizers of the riot.

“The government knows who they are,” Carlson said. “But the government has not charged them. Why is that? You know why. They were almost certainly working for the FBI.”

The US government has so far charged over 550 people, on criminal counts, ranging from assault on law enforcement to trespassing on government property and property damage.

At least 18 people associated with the white supremacist far-right "Proud Boys" group have been charged, and nine people tied to the anti-government militia known as the Oath Keepers are facing charges that they conspired as far back as November to storm the Capitol and block Congress from certifying Trump's defeat.

In a testimony in mid-June, FBI director Christopher Wray acknowledged that white supremacist groups played a major role in the Capitol siege.

“Unfortunately, January 6 was not an isolated event,” Wray said.

“The problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a long time now, and it's not going away anytime soon,” he added.

Carlson, however, said, “It turns out that this 'white supremacist insurrection' was — again, by the government's own admission in these documents — organized by government agents.”

He said that the information would be shocking, if not for Wray’s admission, that the FBI was heavily involved in infiltrating potential extremist and ‘domestic terrorist’ groups inside the United States.

Back in Mach, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin blamed the US government for doing too little too late to fight the far-right extremists who perpetrated domestic terrorism, across the nation.
