Africa day 2021
WEB Africa Day, also known as African Unity Day, is celebrated annually on the 25th of May. It commemorates the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) Ghanas founding father, Kwameh Nkurumah, who played a critical role in the formation of this pan African organization as he was a firm believer in African unity.
This week we are focusing on the current state of the African continent, 58 years after the formation of the Organization of African Unity the precursor to the African Union. We shall review some of the major challenges facing the continent and what the future prospects for this great and rising continent.
