Russian artist uses around 500 human teeth to create portrait of Putin

Russian artist Evgeniya Skovart (Haibullina) has used around 500 human teeth to create a portrait of President Vladimir Putin.

Skovart said she was inspired by Putin's recent statement as he promised to "knock the teeth out" of foreign aggressors who as he said wanted to "bite something off" Russia, namely it's Siberian territories.

To collect hundreds of teeth needed for such work of art, the artist used waste and other materials from the local dentist's office.

The work of art did not exist for a long time- it was taken to pieces shortly after completing, which reflexes Skovart's outlook on art.

"My works and my idea is that everything in this world is temporary," said Skovart.

Those who want to own the portrait can, however, buy a photo of it at an NFT (Non-fungible token) auction "Opensea." Currently, the price is set at a 1 Ethereum (around $2500).

Skovart said that she will donate half of the money earned to the Siberian charity funds.
