Gazaans protest eviction of Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah

People in the Gaza Strip have held a rally in protest to Israel's aggression against Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem al-Quds where dozens of them have been forced to leave their homes. 

In a press conference held during the protest, Palestinian leaders called on the international community to end this eviction that aims to demolish the Palestinian cause.

Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip expressed solidarity with people in Sheikh Jarrah and held the Israeli regime responsible for the consequences of this move. In a recent statement by Hamas' military wing, its leader Mohammed Deif warned that Israel will pay a heavy price if attacks against Sheikh Jarrah continue.

As observers say Palestinians are forcibly displaced from Sheikh Jarrah to make way for Jewish settlers. The Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah have been stepping up their campaign to save their families from eviction in recent weeks.

Similar rallies have been held by Palestinians against the eviction across occupied lands. Protesters stress that they are all united in defending Palestinian rights and won’t remain silent over the Illegal displacement of Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah.
