Iran to hold moot court on General Soleimani assassination

Tehran will soon hold a national moot court which is a simulated court to prepare the ground for the prosecution of those who were behind the assassination of Iranian commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.
Speaking at a press conference on the legal and political aspects of the assassination of general Soleimani, spokesman of Iran's Guardian Council Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei said general Soleimani’s assassination was unprecedented in the world and against all international conventions.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raeisi said those involved in the assassination of the top anti-terror commander will be justly punished without any discrimination.
According to legal experts, Iran’s decision to hold its first national moot court in this regard shows the determination of the Iranian nation to bring to court those behind the act of terrorism.
The moot court is a symbolic move to show the demand of the Iranian nation to bring to justice the main perpetrators of the assassination of General Soleimani and other martyrs of Resistance.
