US hunger and food crisis

Food insecurity has always been an issue in Southern California, but since the start of the pandemic, more people lost their jobs and incomes and became dependent on assistance.

The amount of food provided by Los Angeles Regional Food Bank since March is the equivalent of 95 million meals. But food insecurity is not just a problem in Los Angeles. Major cities across America have faced unprecedented demand for food aid amid new coronavirus-related lockdowns.
