To football in Asia, Beijing FC have beaten Korea’s Seoul FC 2-1 to move up to the top spot in Group E of the AFC Champions League, in the East Zone.
Chinese side Beijing made a seamless resumption to their 2020 campaign, going ahead after only 8 minutes of play, through Brazilian midfielder Fernando, who found the back of the net with the help of a deflection.
Beijing doubled their lead right at the hour-mark when, Alan curled in a classy second goal from the edge of the box.
Just 5 minutes later Park Chu-young scored for the Korean side from the penalty spot, yet that proved to be only a consolation. The result puts Beijing 3 points clear of Seoul on top of Group E, in which all 4 teams have now played twice.
