F1 German GP: Hamilton wins to equal Schumacher's record

Over Motorsports, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has ascended to a peak in his career after moving level with Michael Schumacher's all time record of Formula One Wins, with a victory at the German Grand Prix.

It was a tight race between the Brit and his teammate Valtteri Bottass before the 2nd Mercedes, who started the race from pole, had an engine problem at the Nurburgring. The 6-time world champion then comfortably took the checkered flag after 1 hour, 35 minutes and 49 seconds.

He was presented with one of Michael Schumacher's Formula 1 Race Helmets after equaling his record of 91 Grand Prix victories. In addition, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished 2nd, 4 seconds behind Hamilton, while Daniel Ricardo secured his 1st podium for Renault, after finishing 3rd.

With 6 races to go, Hamilton sits at the top of the driver's standings with 230 points, with Bottass and Verstappen pursuing him with 161 and 147 points respectively.
