Recently a large crowd of religious extremists, including members of Pakistan’s terrorist organizations like Sipah-e-Sahaba, held several consecutive days of rally on the streets of Karachi, chanting anti-Shia slogans and inciting hatred.

The provocation for the recent threatening march was actually the inappropriate comments about the Sunnis respected figures made by a Shia cleric at a recent Muharram gathering in Islamabad which seems to have started a new wave of sectarian violence in Pakistan.

Now in this special edition of "The Subcontinent" we are going to talk about these sectarian acts and their consequences for the Muslims and also we we will focus on the situation of the Shia people in Pakistan and and see why they are under threat.
