Trees downed as typhoon Bavi hits North Korean capital

Typhoon Bavi has uprooted trees as it whirled past Pyongyang, barreling through North Korea's northwest and on into China.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un chaired a meeting Wednesday, before the typhoon hit, when he laid out tasks for various departments and said preventing casualties and crop damage was crucial, KCNA reported.
