Thousands of protesters rallied in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip on Friday against Israeli plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank.

Demonstrators were seen holding Palestinian flags, as well as those of Hamas, which called for the protest, as they made their way through the city. Protesters gathered around a stage where several speeches were given.

Whilst blaming what he defined as “Zionist enemy”, Hamas spokesperson Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil said:

“We will resist and fight with all ferocity and strength and we will unite with all our people to get them out of our land and this occasion is very big to get around the comprehensive resistance program.” “We will not accept injustice, and we will go out in Gaza and the Palestinian people in the West Bank, Jerusalem, the occupied occupied and the diaspora, will make absolutely certain that we will not surrender and will not bargain or raise the white flag,” added another Hamas member Hamad Dream.

The rally comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet has been discussing plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank and the Jordan Valley.
