As more people are testing positive for the coronavirus on a global scale, preventive measures to contain the spread of the contagion have become exceptionally crucial. After weeks of contradictory guidelines regarding the necessity of using facemasks for the public, the United States Center for Disease Control issued new guidance, advising people to wear cloth-based coverings in crowded areas.
