A new adviser to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has resigned amid a media firestorm on Monday following accusations that No. 10 may be condoning his racist views.

Andrew Sabisky has been found to have espoused distasteful and incendiary views on a series of sensitive subjects, including race, eugenics, mind-enhancing drugs for children and female genital mutilation.

One example highlighted by the media was a blog post Sabisky wrote in 2014 which states, “There are excellent reasons to think the very real racial differences in intelligence are significantly - even mostly - genetic in origin”.

Later adding that consideration of racial differences should influence British immigration policy.

And in another post, Sabisky suggests that black Americans have a lower average IQ than whites.

Sabisky claimed he resigned because he did not want to be a "distraction" whilst also accusing the media of "selective quoting" and "hysteria".

When asked about the comments on Monday, the government chose to remain quiet. No. 10 could have distanced themselves from these views at any time but decided not to, leaving many to wonder why exactly that might be.
