On Wednesday US President Donald Trump held a meeting with Venezuela's opposition figure Juan Guaido in Washington. The meeting took place as part of his regime change policy against the Latin American country ruled by socialist President Nicolas Maduro.

A day earlier, Trump delivered a State of the Union speech firing threats against Venezuela. He claimed that 'Maduro's dictatorship will be smashed and destroyed'. Guaido was among the applauding attendees. This has faced criticisms from both Venezuela's government and people, alleging that Guaido is a blatant collaborator of the US hostility.

However, in the opposition, many praise Trump's aggressive rhetoric.

Average citizens have a different opinion.

Many citizens here say that the US is running a totally mistaken policy against Venezuela, claiming neither sanctions nor backing a fake leader as Guaido will manage to unseat President Maduro from power.
