Barcelona have unveiled Quique Setien as the club's new manager.
Setien, who was in charge of Real Betis last season, was presented during a ceremony at the club’s head-quarters on Tuesday.
He signed a contract with Barca which will see him guide the Catalans until June 2022. The 61-year-old replaced Ernesto Valverde, who was sacked on Monday.
Valverde led Barcelona to successive La Liga titles in 2018 and 2019 and a Copa del Rey since joining the club in 2017.
But his standing was weakened by his failure to win the Champions League and a series of poor results in La Liga. This is while, Barca still remain at the top of the League standings on 40 points ahead of 2nd-placed Real Madrid on goal difference and are also into the last 16 of the Champions League where they will face Napoli.
