Concern raised as UK judge rejects Assange extradition hearing delay

A UK judge has rejected an attempt to delay the renowned Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange's extradition case. The United States is keen to get its has on the world-famous whistle-blower over allegations he leaked government secrets.
His lawyers had asked the courts for more time to gather evidence but the District Judge, Vanessa Baraitser, refused, adding that a full hearing will begin in February 2020.
The news has indeed caused anger but also great concern among the many supporters of Assange who have loyally campaigned for his release.
During his latest court appearance, Assange was calm, clean-shaven and smartly dressed. However, his state of mind has been questioned after he allegedly struggled to answer simple questions, such as, "What is your name?" and "When were you born?" Defense lawyers also claim that a variety of issues are preventing Assange from being able to properly prepare his defense, including lacking access to necessary documents and that inadequate care is endangering his health.
