Haitians burn tyres, intensify protests in continuing push for president's ouster

Haitians burned tires and intensified protests on Friday, blocking traffic in parts of the capital leading to the presidential palace where crowds asking for the country's president resignation where headed.

Opposition leaders and their supporters in the nation of 11 million are calling for the resignation of President Jovenel Moise, 51, amid anger over fuel and food shortages, a steep currency devaluation and corruption allegations.
