Netanyahu's pledge to formalize de facto Israeli control over Jordan Valley provokes unease among Palestinian residents.

If implemented, Netanyahu’s proposed annexation would deal a mortal blow to the prospect of a two State Solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Meanwhile, the Pentagon is preparing to send about 150 troops to northeastern Syria to conduct ground patrols with Turkish forces, reversing at least temporarily a withdrawal from Syria that President Trump ordered last December.
