Afghanistan is witnessing a wave of rivalries- mostly between foreign players - regarding to the Afghan peace process.

In such circumstances, Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission strongly backs the Afghan peace talks saying it expects the US, the Taliban and Afghan figures to seriously follow the needs of people in case they are after a real truce in the country .

Freedom of speech and protecting women's rights are considered as some values that have been achieved not easily, therefore, Afghans specially women want all players to pay attention to this issue as well.

Despite wave of optimism regarding the Afghan peace talks, it seems most of local, regional and international players are pursuing their own demands.

7 rounds of talks between the Taliban and US representative Zalmay Khalilzad have been held so far. The militant group has also talked to a number of Afghan figures in separate meetings in Qatar and Russia. Many here believe that the militant group is after a strong appearance in next meetings.
