No freedom of speech in US
A federal appeals court denied a request by former US Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to be released from jail on bail, and upheld a lower courts decision to hold Manning in civil contempt for refusing to testify before a grand jury.
Spain's socialist prime minister has won the sudden election but he has not got a majority. However, the far-right party Vox did make gains and, for the first time in over 40 years is going to have elected representatives in parliament. This has not happened since the death of Spanish dictator Francisco Franco in 1975.
