UK role in South American torture plot exposed

A new de-classified CIA documents shows that British, West German and French intelligence agencies sought advice from South America’s 1970s dictatorships on how to combat leftwing subversion. Dubbed Operation Condor, it was perpetrated by the U.S.-backed regimes in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
