Crackdown on French protesters

A prominent French anti-government Yellow Vest protest movement leader, Jérôme Rodrigues, who was badly injured in the eye at Saturday demonstration in Paris, will be disabled for life.

Jérôme Rodrigues was struck with a “flashball”- a 40mm rubber projectile used by police. The French interior minister has admitted that three other protesters also suffered heavy eye injuries due to police violence.
