Reports from the British media suggest tensions have grown in the royal family as Prince William and Prince Harry have decided to separate homes.

Reports in the tabloid newspapers on Saturday said Prince Harry and his newly-wed wife Meghan Markle were moving from Kensington Palace in London to the Windsor Castle where they will settle at a property renovated by the British taxpayer money.

Kensington Palace has declined to comment on the reports which come amid rumors that the two sons of Prince Charles, the first in the line of succession to Queen Elizabeth II, have been at unease living and working next to each other in London.

The Sun newspaper said an initial plan for Prince Harry and Meghan, who wed in May and expect their first child next spring, was for them to move into one of the main apartments of Kensington Palace.

However, increasing tensions between the two brothers seems to have forced Harry and his wife to move as far as possible to a place outside London.

“Now Harry and Meghan don’t want to live next to William and Kate and want to strike out on their own,” a royal source told the Sun.

A main disagreement between the two, who once were the symbol of unity after the death of their mother Princess Diana in 1997, was that Harry and Meghan reportedly disagreed with the way Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton brought up their three children in Kensington Palace.

So Harry and Meghan, who are officially called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, decided to go to the Windsor.

The two will settle at Frogmore Cottage, a ten-bedroom property given to them by the Queen which is being repaired with millions of pounds of British taxpayer money.

The royal family and their extravagant life-style has always been subject of heated public discussions in Britain. Many believe the monarch and his family have no tangible impact on the way Britain is governed despite using massive amounts of public wealth.
