Iran at 2018 Asian Games: Day 10 Highlights

In the Asian Games, Team Iran have pocketed two more medals in Kurash. Jafar Pahlevani grabbed silver after losing the final bout in the plus 90kg category to his Uzbek opponent.

The Iranian made his way to the final after defeating opponents from Tajikistan, India, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. That’s while, Ghanbar-Ali Ghanbari pocketed a bronze in the minus 66 kg category.

In the medal standings, China sit at the top with 97 gold and a total of 206 medals. Japan and South Korea are 2nd and 3rd on 43 and 32 gold medals respectively.

The host nation Indonesia are in 4th with 24 gold medals, while Iran stand in 5th place with 17 gold medals, 16 silvers and 16 bronze medals.
