Russia’s state hi-tech corporation Rostec unveiled Sosna and BUK-M3 air defense systems at the Army 2018 International Military-Technical Forum in Kubinka, Moscow Region on Thursday.
Sosna possesses laser ray targeting which is used on hardware of this kind apparently for the first time, said Sergei Ignatov, external relations head of the A.E. Nudelman Design Bureau of Precision Engineering.
Sosna is not receptive to adversary electronic countermeasure systems, has noise immunity and is able to conduct missions with a high possibility of not being tracked down.
The BUK-M3 complex is a modified version of the BUK-M2. It has higher precision, mobility and a bigger ammunition set.
