In Venezuela, the opposition staged a general strike on Tuesday, August 21, to decry President Nicolas Maduro's recent economic measures. Many stores and businesses were closed. Authorities say the strike did not disrupt the normal life and most workers attended their jobs. However, the opposition says more such walkouts are expected to force the government to reconsider its current handling of the crisis-hit South American nation. Press TV’s Jesus Silva has the details from Caracas.
