Iran women’s tennis team departs for Bahrain to attend BNP Paribas Fed Cup

The Iran women’s national tennis team has left for Bahrain to participate in the BNP Paribas Fed Cup (Asia Group II women), which is scheduled to be held in the tiny Persian Gulf kingdom later this month.

Sara Azaddoust, Kimia Rahmani, Kimia Asbaghipour and Sharzad Bani Saeed will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran during the continental sports event.

The squad will be under the tutelage of Mehrafza Manouchehri as manager, Farnaz Fasihi as head coach and Abbas Khiltash as technical manager.

The BNP Paribas Fed Cup (Asia Women II), which will be organized by Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) and staged under the supervision of the International Tennis Federation, will kick off in Isa Town on February 6, and will run through February 10, 2018.

Tennis players from fourteen countries, namely Bahrain, Indonesia, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, New Zealand, Oman, Pacific Oceania, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Uzbekistan, will take part in the event.
