Thousands of Kurds in Syria's Afrin have mourned fighters and civilians killed in a Turkish assault on the region. Among the victims was female combatant Barin Kobani who was purportedly tortured and killed by units of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) that has joined hands with the Turkish military in the assault on Afrin. Meanwhile, hundreds rallied in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, against the Turkish offensive on Afrin. Several were arrested by Dutch police during the rally. Activists believe more protests against Turkey are on the way as anger builds up among Kurds worldwide.
