Iranian fencers have demonstrated terrific displays of skills and agility at the 2018 Tournoi Satellite in Georgia, and snatched two medals at the international event.

On Sunday, 27-year-old Ali Pakdaman Esmaeilzadeh defeated opponents from Belarus, Georgia, the United States, Hong Kong and Azerbaijan in the preliminary round of the men's sabre event.

He then emerged triumphant in his contests against representatives from Kazakhstan, Belarus and Iran, and booked a place among the top four fencers.

Pakdaman Esmaeilzadeh , however, lost 13-15 to a powerful opponent from the host nation in the semi-finals, and bagged the bronze medal.

Separately, Mohammad Rahbari prevailed over his Georgian, Belarusian, Azerbaijani and Chilean rivals in the first round, before winning against opponents from Georgia, Hong Kong, and Belarus in the next level.
