Damascus to attend UN talks in Vienna: United Nations deputy envoy

The Syrian government will attend another round of UN-sponsored peace talks set to take place in Vienna next week, the United Nations deputy Syria envoy says.

At a news conference in Damascus on Thursday, Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy said Syria's deputy foreign minister, Faisal al-Mekdad, had informed him of the government's plan to attend the meeting.
