Iran’s Naft-o-Gaz Gachsaran suffers 4th defeat in 2017 Asian Men's Club League Handball Championship

Iran's Naft-o-Gaz Gachsaran handball team has slumped to another defeat at the 2017 Asian Men's Club League Handball Championship in India, losing to al-Shurta Club of Iraq.

On Monday, the Iranian squad lost to the Iraqi outfit 20-31 in a classification match staged at the Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad.

Earlier, Naft-o-Gaz Gachsaran had been beaten by Qatar’s al-Duhail, Sharjah Club of the United Arab Emirates and Omani Muscat Club at the preliminary round of the tournament.

The Iranian handball team is scheduled to play against Uzbekistan’s RKOR Club in a 7th-8th place match on Thursday.

‌The 2017 Asian Club League Handball Championship kicked off on November 20, and will conclude on November 30.
