Strong predawn earthquake jolts Tibet, no casualties reported

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake hit Nyingchi, southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region at 06:34 Saturday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The quake caused power failure and building damage in a number of villages near the epicenter in Nyingchi City.
