Iran’s Rahimi reappointed Asian Handball Federation vice president

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) has re-elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Handball Federation (IRIHF), Alireza Rahimi, as its vice president.

During the AHF elections held in the Turkish resort city of Antalya on Friday, Rahimi was reappointed to the post.

The AHF is the governing body of handball and beach handball in Asia. It has 44 member countries.

The Asian Handball Federation was formed officially on August 26, 1974 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on the sidelines of the 7th Asian Games.

The headquarters is located in Kuwait City, Kuwait. The current president is Sheikh Ahmed al-Fahad al-Ahmed Al Sabah of Kuwait.
