Israel’s plan to build the largest settlement inside a Palestinian neighborhood sends a very clear signal that the Tel Aviv regime has no respect for international law and does not want a Palestinian state, says a human rights lawyer.

“I think what is striking about this particular move, if it goes ahead, is that it means a large settlement is being built in a Palestinian neighborhood of East Jerusalem [al-Quds] … that will make it very difficult for East Jerusalem [al-Quds] to become a future capital of the state of Palestine,” Salma Karmi-Ayyoub told Press TV in an interview on Monday.
