Russia raps EU and US sanctions on Syria

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov describes EU and US sanctions against Syria as extraordinary given their impact on vital humanitarian services provided by the country's once thriving pharmaceutical industry. Speaking to journalists in Brussels, Lavrov said Russia would consider counter measures against the United States if sanctions announced last December by former President Barack Obama are implemented by the current administration in Washington.
