Stephen Sizer, a member of the Peacemaker Mediators, says the United Nations is "powerless" as long as the West, and mainly the United States, continues to "control the agenda" with regard to Yemen and the bloody war the Saudi regime has imposed on the country.

"It is tragic that the UN is unable to move from platitude and from statements to actions," Sizer told Press TV on Wednesday.

“We must have an intervention that brings an end to the blockade and to the destruction of Yemen,” he said.
