Israel to build more settlements on Palestinian land

Days after a United Nations Security Council resolution condemned the Israeli policy of settlement expansion, Tel Aviv has announced new plans for building more settler units in eastern Jerusalem al-Quds. An Israeli daily says the Jerusalem District Zoning Committee is set to discuss the new construction plans in a session on Wednesday. Israel built more than 1,500 settler units in 2016 alone.
