In the German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich have posted a 1-nil win over Darmstadt to seal their return to the top of the standings.
After a goalless first half, the Bavarians finally broke Darmstadt's resistance in the 71st minute.
Thiago Alcantara backheeled a quick free-kick into Douglas Costa’s path and the Brazilian international smashed an unstoppable shot-in off the crossbar from 30-yards to put Bayern in the lead.
And that brilliant goal was enough to give Bayern their fifth straight victory across all competitions.
