Israeli forces have shot dead a Palestinian teenage boy near the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah in yet another act of violence against Palestinians.

The victim was shot in the heart during clashes between the regime forces and Palestinian youth in the village of Beit Rima in northern Ramallah early on Sunday.

He was identified as 19-year-old Ahmed Hazem Rimawi.

Beit Rima residents said the occupation forces have raided the village and inspected locals’ houses every night since Thursday, prompting scuffles with Palestinian citizens.

The victim’s father was said to have been released two months ago after spending 14 years in Israeli jails.

Over the past months, Israeli forces have fatally shot many Palestinians in the occupied territories both in clashes and on suspicion that they sought to carry out attacks against Israelis.

The Tel Aviv regime has come under fire for using violence against Palestinians and adopting a policy of shoot-to-kill.

The occupied lands have witnessed tensions ever since Israeli forces imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem al-Quds in August 2015.

According to Palestinian media, 268 Palestinians have lost their lives at the hands of Israeli forces since October 2015, when the tensions intensified.
