After constantly dismissing criticisms of the migrant deal struck with Ankara in March, the EU appears to be finally acknowledging the flaws and weaknesses of the pact. EU leaders are also beginning to express their reservations about visa liberalization for Turks and fast-tracking Ankara's bid for EU membership as part of the migrant deal. Observers in Turkey now hope that the EU will also be ready to openly and frankly address the violation of rights in Turkey, by exerting more pressure on Ankara.
