End of the Yemen war?

Almost a year after the start of the Saudi war on Yemen, major changes are already taking place indicating that a solution to the crisis could be soon within reach. Peace talks have begun between the Ansarullah fighters who have so far been holding the upper hand in the war, and the Saudis.

Syria peace talks

The Syria peace talks have gone ahead as planned, while the ceasefire is mainly holding across the country. Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said Assad’s fate and presidential elections are one of Syria’s red lines in the talks.

Arab League calls Hezbollah a terrorist entity

The Arab League has blacklisted Lebanon’s resistant movement Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. The Saudi delegation stormed out of the meeting during a speech by Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, who defended Hezbollah and the Iraqi volunteer force Hashd al-Shaabi which is engaged in fighting Daesh.
